★Your Files Never Leave Your Device
9xconvert converts and edits entirely on your computer. Videos, images, audio and PDFs are read from disk, processed locally, and written back to the folder you choose. Nothing is uploaded to us or to anyone else, there is no conversion server, and the app does not need an internet connection to convert a file you already have.
Batch conversion works the same way. When you drag in a folder, the app reads those files locally to queue them. We never receive the files, their names, or a list of what you converted.
The download-to-convert flow does reach the internet, because it fetches the media you asked for. That request goes to the site hosting it, not through us, and the sections below on download data apply to it unchanged.
Everything below applies to 9xconvert as it does to every 123sudo app.
1Our Privacy Commitment
123sudo apps and services are built with privacy-first principles. We don't sell your data or require a name or email address to use our apps. For downloading features, your download activity is your business, not ours.
2Download Data Our Apps Do Not Collect
- No page URLs, media URLs, or download history
- No files or downloaded media content
- No browsing history or search history
- No website cookies, request headers, or page content
- No precise or approximate location
- No advertising or cross-site tracking IDs
- No name or email address is required to use our apps
- No credit-card or bank-account details
3Information We Receive
App Licensing and Identity:
- An installation or device identifier used to recognize the app for licensing and device management. The browser extension generates a random per-install UUID; desktop and mobile use their platform's app/device identifier.
- App/platform type, operating-system category, app version, and a device label. In the browser extension this label is generic, such as "Firefox on macOS".
- The 123sudo UID returned during registration and sent on later validations, or an existing UID you choose to link
- License/subscription status and the last time that installation or device validated its access
- IP address and request-security metadata received by our server for authentication, fraud prevention, and signup rate limiting
- These validation requests go to api.123sudo.com, with gateway.xbuddy.workers.dev used as a fallback relay to the same API
Account and Support Data:
- A random UID used to associate licenses, subscriptions, credits, and your registered app installations
- Payment transaction identifiers, purchase amount, and status; payment providers keep your full payment-card details
- Information you choose to provide in a support request or other direct contact
- Optional crash reports or diagnostics only when an app offers and you enable that feature
Website Analytics and Advertising:
- Google Analytics and Google Ads measure website visits, campaign attribution, app download-button clicks, and app-store outbound clicks
- For completed website purchases, we send a transaction reference, product, amount, and currency for aggregate conversion reporting
- We do not send your 123sudo UID, downloaded files, media URLs, submitted content, or payment-card details to Google Analytics or Google Ads
- Google may process cookies, advertising click identifiers, IP address, browser, and device information under its own terms
We use this information to create and secure a UID, validate licenses and subscriptions, enforce device and signup limits, provide support, process purchases, and comply with legal obligations. Website measurement is limited to the analytics and advertising events described above; it does not reveal what content you browse or download inside our apps.
Feature Data You Choose to Submit
Some network features—such as AI requests, transcription, payments, or support—must transmit the text, files, audio, or other content you choose to submit to 123sudo and the service providers needed to complete that request. Features described as local, including 9xbuddy extraction/download processing and local conversion, do not send that content to 123sudo.
4Local App and Download Data Handling
Local Processing:
- 9xbuddy extraction runs locally in the desktop, mobile, and browser apps; page and media URLs are not sent to 123sudo
- Website cookies and request headers are used locally only when needed to access media
- Settings, account/license cache, detection results, and download progress are stored locally by the app
- Temporary media-processing files may be stored in app- or browser-managed local storage and are removed after download or cleanup
Download Privacy:
- Direct connection to source sites
- We don't store downloaded files
- No middleman servers for content
- Downloads go straight to your device
5Third-Party Services
Content Sources:
- You connect directly to source websites
- We don't proxy your downloads
- Source sites may have their own tracking
- Our apps do not send your 123sudo UID or installation/device identifier to content sources
Service Providers:
- Hosting and security providers process the limited account/licensing data needed to run our services
- AI, transcription, storage, or other feature providers process content only when you use a feature that requires that provider
- Payments are handled by payment providers
- Google provides website analytics, advertising attribution, and conversion measurement
- We receive transaction ID, amount, and payment status
- No credit card details stored by us
- Payment provider privacy policies apply
6Your Rights & Controls
You Can:
- Use our apps without providing a name or email address
- Clear app storage or uninstall to remove locally stored data. Identifier reset behavior depends on the app platform.
- Link, switch, or remove registered devices through your UID account
- Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of account/device records
We Never:
- Log the files, media, or source URLs you download inside our apps
- Track what content you access
- Store URLs you submit
- Build advertising profiles
- Use your account data for targeted ads
7Data Security
- Licensing requests use HTTPS and signed request authentication
- Browser-extension installation IDs are randomly generated; desktop/mobile identifiers are used only for licensing, security, and device management—not advertising
- Access to account and device records is limited to operating, securing, and supporting the service
- We minimize licensing data sent by every app and never receive 9xbuddy media content or browsing/download history
- No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure
8Data Sharing
We Never:
- Sell your data
- Sell personal data to advertisers
- Provide to data brokers
- Use app content or your 123sudo UID for targeted advertising
- Share download history (we don't have it)
Limited Disclosures:
- Service providers that host, secure, support, or process payments for 123sudo, only as needed to provide those services
- When required by law or necessary to protect users, our rights, and service security
- As part of a business transfer, subject to this policy and applicable law
9Data Retention
- Download URLs and files: Never stored on 123sudo servers
- Local app data: Retained in app/browser storage until cleanup, storage clearing, or uninstall, depending on the platform and data type
- UID, account, and device records: Retained while the account/device remains active or as needed to provide licensing and support, then deleted or anonymized when no longer required
- IP and security records: Retained as needed for signup-abuse prevention, authentication security, troubleshooting, and legal obligations
- Payment records: Retained as required for accounting, fraud prevention, refunds, and legal compliance
- Content submitted to network features: Processed for the requested feature and retained only as needed for delivery, security, support, or the applicable provider's disclosed terms
10California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
California residents have the right to:
- Know what data is collected (minimal)
- Request deletion or correction of applicable account and device data
- Opt-out of data sale (we don't sell data)
- Non-discrimination (all users treated equally)
